Professional Biography
Miriam Kerler is a Lasch Clinical Teaching fellow for the Civil Rights Clinic. Prior to joining the faculty at Sturm College of Law, Miriam worked as an associate at Colorado Law Team, where she represented clients in special education, disability discrimination, employment discrimination, Title IX, and juvenile defense matters. In 2023, Miriam was awarded the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association Access to Justice Award for her advocacy on behalf of children with disabilities in cases brought under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Miriam returns to the Civil Rights Clinic (CRC) after participating in the CRC as a student attorney from 2019-2021. In 2021, she received the CRC’s Outstanding Advanced Student Award and earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
