Denver Law's curriculum includes several substantive areas of specialization, designed to allow our students to tailor their education to their passions and career goals. In addition, our hybrid online/on-campus Professional Part-time JD Program allows students to earn their law degree on their schedule, maximize their time and build their future.

Part-Time JD Program
Denver Law’s Part-Time JD program—ranked #14 by U.S. News & World Report—is one of the oldest in the country. Throughout our history, innovations in teaching and new understandings about learning have played a central role in our curriculum delivery. The technology available to us today allows for a convenient, but no less effective, method of instruction that provides access to legal education for people with professional and personal commitments that make the traditional full-time program unworkable.
You can now balance your career and family, as well as earn your degree online on your time (one-third of the curriculum) and in on-campus classes every other weekend.
Practical Learning
The Sturm College of Law is home to nationally ranked clinical programs, nationally ranked programs in legal writing and trial advocacy, and one of the largest legal externship programs in the country. Students are able to complete 25 credit hours of experiential learning; this wide variety of practice-based experiences puts students in the shoes of practicing lawyers under the tutelage of expert professors and practitioners, providing unparalleled opportunities to develop as a lawyer.
