Transportation Law Journal
The Transportation Law Journal, established in 1969 and published biannually by the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, is a unique and distinguished publication in the United States dedicated to the field of transportation law.
The Journal covers a wide range of legal, regulatory, economic, and political developments both domestically and internationally, across all modes of transportation, including air, motor, rail, water carriage, pipelines, freight forwarders, and brokers.
Edited exclusively by DU law students, the Transportation Law Journal is accessible through leading databases such as LexisNexis, and Westlaw, solidifying its role as a key professional publication and valuable tool in the transportation law sector.

Candidacy
The Transportation Law Journal is the sole transportation journal of its kind in the United States and has been proudly edited by DU law students since its inception in 1969.
Transportation Law Journal editors can expect to encounter a broad range of subject matter in preparing articles for publication, including submissions from industry professionals in areas such as aviation, maritime transport, and overland carriers. Some examples of recent articles include high-speed rail financing methods, Railway Labor Act and an examination of fuel economy standards.

Submissions
The Transportation Law Journal is an ideal forum for Transportation Lawyer Association members and prospective authors to publish an article. Some of the benefits of publishing include:
- Serving the transportation law community by addressing current developments in the law, sharing your knowledge in specific areas of the transportation industry, and encouraging the exchange of ideas with other professionals, Transportation Lawyer Association members, legislators, and political members;

Policies for Submission of Articles:
- Entries must be submitted by email.
- All articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word format as an 8½” x 11”, double-spaced document.
- Articles must be a minimum of 20 pages, double-spaced with at least 125 footnotes. For every purported fact, there should be a supporting footnote. Footnote form must comply with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (21st edition). If material cited is not covered by The Bluebook, cite according to the U.S. Government Printing Office Style Manual. We will not publish articles that do not meet these requirements except in extraordinary circumstances.
- For each author, please submit a one-paragraph professional biography.
- Please prepare a table of contents for the article including all headings and subheadings.
- Please submit a 2-3 page summary of the article.
